Jack Russell Inn - Test Valley

We came in early December for mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary. We were served at the bar by Stefan who was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated and served my Merina who was very attentive and kind throughout our meal. The food was lovely! I had the skewers and the duck which was both amazing! We declined deserts because we were so full and the team put together a really nice anniversary plate which was such a lovely thought!! We will definetly be back again and will certainly pass on recommendations! Thank you all for making this memorable for us!

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this beautiful hotel. We stayed over New Years Eve, with our dog. The hotel itself was stunning. Set in the middle of nowhere with the most amazing grounds. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room was probably the most beautiful room of any hotel I’ve stayed in. It was very spacious and exquisitely decorated. We had a small balcony with the most amazing views. The bathroom had a gorgeous rolled top bath tub. The amenities in the room were excellent including a nespresso coffee machine. The food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. So much choice. This is a very dog friendly hotel and restaurant, dogs are allowed in all areas, which was great for us. We will definitely be returning.

Where else can you find a high-end pub that welcomes your dogs as warmly as they do you? This fabulous and one-of-a-kind establishment is a haven for dog lovers, with a fantastic staff to top it off. Thank you for a great experience.

Me and my mum had a meal from the set Christmas menu on the 20th December. We've loved coming to the pub for years especially since the fantastic renovation. As always, the setting and service was second to none. My vegetarian meal was very nice and I have no complaints however, my mum had the turkey dinner and was a little disappointed. The meat and stuffing seemed somewhat processed and not the quality that we'd expected. We had a lovely evening but felt the food lacked which is unusual for the Jack Russell.

This was my first visit to Jack Russell and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. There are great options for those needing gluten-free choices, the service was attentive, and the food was delicious. It was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.
