The Kitchen Cafe - Test Valley

Went to the kitchen cafe today with a friend as always enjoyed the food. Not the case today! 2 hairs were on my eggs, luckily I spotted it as soon as they were put down, so pointed it and the lady apologised and said she would bring another. 5 minutes later she brought another with yet another black hair. So not sure if it was fresh or they just served the old ones. I hate complaining so did not send it back again but this time cannot even remember receiving an apology. Whoever was in charge should have come out at the very least and apologised in person. It was not very busy so maybe they have gone down hill and I have not heard about it. Very disappointing, will not be back!

Post Covid review. A lot has changed in the world in the past few years since i last reviewed this business, thankfully the kitchen cafe isnt one of them. The same great service, locally sourced excellent produce and all cooked to perfection. The best breakfast ive had still. If you havent been there and had breakfast you are missing something from your life!!

Well what can I say. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had and I’ve had a few. Lovely fresh local produce. Busy for a reason.

We have been to the Kitchen Cafe on several occasions in the last few years and we are guarnteed a good cooked breakfast, brunch or light lunch. Service is good and we have not experienced any problems.

Visited with friends who had been before Enjoyable breakfast x mine was vegetarian and very good. Prices fair only complaint the coffee cups are very small and could do with being bigger !!! Will visit again.
