La Fogata - Texarkana

Atmosphere was good, a little slow with service but it was cinco de mayo, drinks were really good, but the food was not that great. I was already shocked that three tacos were $17 when they came out this is what i got they aren't even real quesabirria tacos had little to no meat!

This place looks like an odd location when you find it but it's really a neat little atmosphere. Looks like they have live entertainment on the weekends. I imagine they have a regular crowd but we were just passing through town. We sat on the outside patio and the heaters they had out there were nice considering it was a little chilly. We made it early enough for the $2.99 happy margarita special and the frozen sangria swirl $1 extra) was decent. I ordered the stuffed avocado and it was yummy! I got shrimp in mine. There could have been more shrimp but they were decent sized and it tasted great. The chips and salsa were good too. Salsa tasted fresh, could have used more of a spicy bite for my liking but good nonetheless. I would recommend the location. Lots of yummy sounding meals I'd try.

Found this place on google maps. I'm a local and wasn't aware of it until today. Hubby had heard good things about it. Our dinner was delicious with good portion size. Friendly staff. The guacamole is soo good..minus the lettuce in it. Only complaint would be that queso was served Luke warm carrots in taco meat. Definitely revisiting! I got the la fogata beef enchiladas

Fresh flavor full food that is quite pricey, but worth the . Great outside dining especially when there's live music

Been there twice and the service was amazing. Can't wait to go back. Especially for the special of the day. Had enchiladas one day and tacos the next.
