Meomyo's Bayou Cafe - Texarkana

The shrimp and fish are fried to perfection here. I found it a bit heavy on the salt for my taste, but other than that, everything was excellent. The staff is very friendly as well. It's a great place to visit!

I really enjoyed the catfish Acadian with shrimp étouffée; it was excellent. The frog legs were large and delicious, and the collard greens were fantastic. The alligator bites were also very good. The beignets were the highlight of the meal! The only dish that was just okay was the boudin balls, which had a slightly greasy taste. Overall, the food was very impressive!

I had the black catfish Acadiana for lunch, which was served with a crusted étouffée, along with a side of red beans and rice. It also came with hush puppies and spicy crackers. The food was fantastic, and the portion size was almost too generous for lunch. This was my first visit, and I will definitely return! The prices are very reasonable for Cajun cuisine, especially considering the portion sizes!

This is probably the best Cajun place I tried outside the southern Mississippi. Really good the owner is a big man and all staff is very friendly. Always recommend. I and a few men from the church go every Thursday night. Great place and treat us very well.

I was hungry for shrimp and grits today and came across this place in Texarkana. Never heard of it. It has some pretty harsh reviews as well as good ones. But I think it is excellent. The grits was on point. Not sticky like some places and the shrimp was seasoned just right! The staff was super friendly as well. Goes to show you can't go by some people's negative ratings. I'll be a regular here
