Ajo Y Oregano - The Bronx

Went there for my birthday and it seems like if you’re not from DR they don’t pay attention to you. My server only came twice. To get the drinks and to take the food order. She did not come to check if the food was good or if we needed more drinks. My meat was supposed to be medium well and it was medium rare. Every time I would call her she would ignore me. I had to call someone else so I could get the check. it took forever. that server asked if everything was fine I told him no he made a face ignored me and walked away And then I was being charged for something I didn’t get ! Very bad experience on my birthday.

My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays about 2 weeks ago at Ajo and Oregano. We had the best time, great food and amazing service. Frank was a shining star, he made sure we enjoyed every bit of our experience while there. He recommended some amazing drinks such as the coconut monitor, the appetizers such as the sliders and the entrée such as the chicharrón de cerdo and more. We had a million questions and he answered them all patiently and with a heartfelt smile. I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant to anyone willing to listen.

I ordered the MOF Chicharron de Cerdo with chicken, but it wasn't what I expected. It was just okay and did not meet my expectations.

I ordered extra meat but didn't receive it. I've had this issue with this restaurant on DoorDash multiple times; I feel like I'm being scammed. Every time I pay for extra, I don't get it. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here.
