Seriously, how can this place have ONLY 3.9 stars? Food: 5+/5 Location: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Had the Fish Malabar and extra King Prawns. Both were absolutely fabulous, probably the best (normally priced) food I had in three weeks of travelling India. Quality and composition were both excellent. Location is a bit remote and hard to find, but that gives it extra charme. The sound of the waves soothes you, the view is fantastic and there is no annoying street vendors like in Kovalam main beach. Service is impeccable (for Indian standards). Very friendly staff, great recommendations foodwise and they keep just the right amount of distance and courtesy. If you are in Kovalam, skip the mediocre restaurants at the main beach and come here!

We discovered this gem during our recent trip to Kovalam. The cafe is located on a cliff overlooking the beach, and provided excellent view of the ocean and the cliff. We ordered fish from their fresh catch, which was grilled to perfection, and served with a side of salad and fries. We also had scoops of vanilla ice cream which tasted refreshing. The drawbacks are its location in a less accessible place with no adjoining parking space. The road leading to the cafe is across the beach, and up the cliff, which is atleast 200 meters from the parking space. For kids and elderly, it may not be easy. The hotel is farther from the main kovalam beach, and not accessible, unless you are staying in one of the resorts nearby. It's better to visit the place in groups, so that the food can be shared.

Above average price (1400rupees for a big fish enough for two people) but the grilled red snapper fish tasted really great. Cash only accepted. At this price range of the fish I hope they will accept card payment soon.

We were looking for a local restaurant with fresh good fish. Curry leafs is a great one if you look for charm, friendly yet quick and polite service. Fish fry and prawns really tasty as well as the other choices. Good quality/price! Dharma and the rest of the team have been attentive, but also very respectful, giving us space while ensuring we did not miss anything. Thanks!

Location 4/5 Taste 3.5/5 1. Vast menu Plenty of options for vegetarians as well. Vast variety of fresh seafood dishes 2. View from the restaurant is great. It has a sea view. Absolutely amazing 3. Have to struggle a bit to reach the restaurant as literally there is no proper road nearby it. It was difficult for my parents to climb. 4. Price wise it is a bit expensive but considering the location, it is worth it 5. Taste Taste was okayish. Not too great, not too bad. But still better than other restaurants available there. 6. Vibe 5/5. Very cozy. We went during dinner and we absolutely loved the vibe 7. Servicing 4/5. Loved the dine in experience but they informed us that they also do home delivery. However we tried to call them repeatedly but no one received or called us back.
