Hockey Sushi - Thornhill

I've been coming here for a long time and this is the first time I was disappointed.It was across the board sushimi, rolls and seaweed salad. Everything was off.The crab was not good either.I hope this is just a rarity but it will take a while to go back.This is a very competitive food, at least 5 other sushi restaurants in walking distance.

We found this place across the neighborhood offering wide variety far-east style food. The place offers you main dishes or All you can eat option to order small plates of different kind of shusi, Tampura-based chicken.meat of vegetables.The main dishes are very generous as well so I can guarantee you won't get out hungry from this place.The restaurant seems clean and we enjoy every moment.I'll definitely come back here again anytime soon!

We have a group of over 20. We had the basement room. We ordered an absolute TON of food. It was all delicious! The hot food hot, cold was cold.We kept on ordering... they kept on bringing it.I think it was something along the lines of approx. $25 CAD. pp. Less for the kids.

The night we went to Hockey Sushi, the usual restaurant we were going to go to, had closed for the evening, as we ended up in a ditch and required CAA to pull us out (horrific evening). Hockey was still open, so we went in. We were seated, handed menus and, thankfully, since we knew what we were going to order, they didn't mind us coming in at the 11th hour. Food was fantastic, especially for an AYCE; specialty rolls were superb and the Hand Rolls were top notch! My fiancée though did not like the vibes from the wait staff, though they did leave us alone, she felt them cold and not happy to be working; as a result, we have not been back.But the food is superb.

Hockey Sushi had been plagued with waiters who just didn't seem interested in the guest. Slow, unfriendly service and never a smile. We stopped going until a couple years ago and we gave it a try. Something changed and we started going regularly again and enjoyed it - until last week. We simply could not flag down a waiter. After 10 minutes (there is a TV with the news ticker that allowed us to time it), we gave up and walked to the counter ourselves to bring someone over to our table. It ruined the evening and we left without ordering any more. Asked to speak to the manager and was told no manager until Tuesday - 5 days later. Not sure if we will return.
