Farm House Cafe - Thorsby

We had the buffet of deep fried pork chop, squash casserole, Mac cheese, cabbage, mashed potatoes tea and coffee. There was other foods on the buffet you pick a meat and your sides.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but, the inside is really cute. Biscuits were fresh the white gravy had a good flavor. The hashbrowns were interesting. It was shredded thinly weren't bad. The grits were just grits but, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The bathroom was clean spacious. If I find myself in this neck of the woods again, I'd come back.

Absolutely ridiculous how good the food and service is here. These ladies know good food and southern hospitality. The fried chicken was perfectly fried but not greasy. The rutabagas are tender and scrumptious as well as the field peas. The collards are out of this world good. I will let the cheesecake speak for itself because it is some kind of good. If I lived closer, they would have a booth reserved for me every meal. I will be coming back soon for the fantastic food and the very gracious staff. Thank you ladies for the fine meal that was fit for a king.

Fast friendly service. It was my first time there but they seemed to have some regulars which might become. Portions were bigger than I expected and prices were average. Tasty food, clean place.

They have a webpage for the menu. Can call and order via phone, go in decide buffet or menu, and you can walk over to buffet and get your order to go. Buffet comes with meat and sides plus dessert.(drink included). Very good food! Southern dishes are served. Staff is very friendly! They do charge a small fee to use your card. Lunch time is crowded so expect the wait but we'll worth it. They do offer First Responders discount and show their appreciation for their services.
