Pisces - Toms River

The food was greed. No season. It seems as if the cook forgot to salt and pfeffer pretty much everything.

Last week, my wife and I dined at Pisces Seafood, and we were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the armored scallops, while my wife opted for the fish and chips, and both dishes were outstanding! Each meal was served with a delightful house garden salad and bread, and we enjoyed every bite. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. Additionally, they have a fresh fish market offering a wide variety of fresh fish, shellfish, homemade mussels, coleslaw, and more. If you haven’t been to Pisces Seafood yet, you absolutely must go. You won’t be disappointed!

This place is a GEM in the area. The dishes have complex flavor. Tip: order from the DAILY SPECIALS. The crab stuffed Turbot was delicious! Expect quality here. Due to COVID 19 only outdoor dining (outdoor tent with heaters). Google hours are not updated. They are closed on Sunday’s Monday’s.

They also have a seafood counter with the freshest catches I’ve ever seen. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They offer a spacious outdoor tent for summer dining. I wasn’t sure if it was BYOB, but you can always ask. I can’t wait to go back and pick up some fresh seafood to take home. On my third visit, I tried the fish and chips, and they were fantastic! Both the outdoor and indoor dining areas were lovely. They serve you two generous pieces of fish with thick-cut fries, and it’s very filling. The staff is consistently friendly and always has a smile. This is truly the best seafood I’ve ever had!

The food, which focuses entirely on fish and seafood, is simply some of the best we’ve ever had. The appetizers were fantastic; the shrimp cocktails were large and perfectly prepared. The fresh fluke was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything, including the fried shrimp, was delightful. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and portion sizes make it a great value for what you receive. With first-class food and exceptional service, this restaurant truly stands out. The fresh fish market they have is also impressive. It’s definitely worth a visit, but be prepared for it to get busy soon!
