Bidra med feedbackAmbient atmosphere, highly professional and friendly personnel, great menu and 20 beers on tap that would be my description of this unique West End Toronto restaurant. I tried almost every item on the menu everything was<br/ exquisite but the best were Chicken Paprikash. both Slovak and Szegedin Goulash and Jaeger Schnitzel. I tried also Halibut and I would recommend it highly. Jan.<br/ <br/ It was great to be here again. I started with shrimp and corn chowder and it turned out to be a gourmet's dream. The taste was perfectly balanced and I added just a pinch of black pepper. After 20 years in GTA I've never seen baby beef liver on menu. I mentioned it to the proprietor Joe and he personally prepared the grilled baby beef liver with fried onions, bacon, touch of gravy, mashed potatoes and vegies in no time. I need not to mention that it was delicious. I'll be back soon. Jan.
Awesome!. I use to go to this place on and off and recently just visited. i have to tell you guys how much the place has changed! great menu, food was GREAT! tasted way better then before and get atmosphere to just relax and enjoy yourself. I had the pleasure of meeting their new chief Fernando and he seemed to be a top notch guy.<br/ <br/ well be going back more often. recommend this place to everyone.
I am giving 3 stars because I only picked up 2 beer and Lays potato chips. When I paid I was surprised that it came to $20 and change. I asked how much a can of Cdn cost and was told something like $9 and change. The menu stated $5.99-$7.99. When I mentioned this to the server, he told me the owners haven't changed their pricing on the website because they can't find the web company that desined it years ago. Really? Then inform customers as they order. Other similar comments about pricing- no apology and certainly no attempt at honouring the stated price. $9.00 for a can of Cdn is highway robery.
Amazing service and atmosphere, don't miss Trivia Night on Mondays!
This is the West End's most expensive dive. The selection of beers is decent, but the the typical pub fare food is extremely overpriced considering the amount and the quality.
