Nijo Japanese Rest -  Toronto,

Having grown up in Japan, this is my top choice for Japanese cuisine in Toronto.

The food at this restaurant was delicious and the service was outstanding. If you visit, ask for Miki - she is very friendly and attentive.

As befits a Japanese restaurant, the decor is nice. The food is not all Japanese — there's some fusion influence too.

Lobster ramen good. Not much lobster (but not pricey). Soup good — diluted khao soi gravy, with added umami punch from seafood. Lobster especially tasty: good firm flesh, well fried tasty.

Beef curry was good. The beef was chunkier than expected (not minced beef . It was topped with a nice crispy garnish (fried onion? . The miso soup was good too.
