ONE Restaurant - Toronto

This restaurant in Toronto is one of the top spots in the city. The prices match the quality of both the establishment and the neighbourhood. My personal favorites are the Lobster spoon and Black cod. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The patio is fantastic in the summer, and in winter the outdoor covered patio with heating makes you feel like you're still outside.

The food and service at this restaurant are both poor.

Great location, vibe and decor. Food was OK. For the price I would have expected a bit more finesse and taste. Presentation was ok. There was nothing noticeable about the flavours.

We were greeted in a very busy and unorganized front door, there was a lot of confusion around coat check and who 's going where and who had reservations and who was waiting not a great experience first walking in. When we were seated the atmosphere was pleasant and everything was nice. I had requested for an old fashion, but the way I typically request it, with mezcal, when I had received it, it was one of the worst drinks I have ever put to my lips. When the waitress asked if I liked the drink I had given my honest answer and her response was have you ever tried it before? Is this your first time? I was a little offended, but I replied if i can get just a Mezcal and there was no issue. We ordered the fried calamari and at a restaurant of that caliber, i thought we would get better quality, but it was chewy and the breading would just fall of the calamari. My wife ordered the chicken and I order a rib eye the food was ok, nothing to write home about and not worth the price. The dessert was PHENOMINAL the cheese cake was light and fluffy and the boston cream was delicious. This place would be a great dessert place. I would most likely not go back here and would not recommend this place to my friends or colleagues.

A beautiful restaurant. Great atmosphere, fantastic food and service. Looking forward to my next visit.
