Bidra med feedbackBrooklyn tavern is a super welcoming place to hang out at with some absolutely spectacular comfort/pub style food that's elevated beyond what you'd normally expect (both in quality and value). Walking into the place you can't help but be taken by the stylized tin ceilings, roomy tables and expansive bar. It eschews trendy hipster chic for modern warmth and never makes you feel like it's too cool to have you dining there. It feels like the most comfortable friend's dining room authentic and not a put on. The food comes from a similar place it's welcoming, comforting with just a hint of style to make you appreciate where they take the cuisine. The roasted chicken is by far the best thing on the menu, it's juicy and plump with a great textured skin that pairs well with the creamed cauliflower. Surprisingly the veggies are the highlight of the dish for me! The brisket burger brings the flavour and is super satisfying to dig into and the brunch menu's waffles or Mac and cheese are next level and NEVER disappoint. Speaking of the brunch menu, make sure to get their spicy Caesars as the ultimate morning kickstart (only on weekends, obviously). Their Sunday night roast special is worth the trip, no matter the weather. It's huge and savoury for a super value (I had to share some of it with my wife). I love the craft beer selection, it has a great variety of ales, lagers and my favourite: stouts. Get the Wellington Imperial Russian Stout and drink your dessert, seriously. Go, eat and be merry!
We LOVE Brooklyn Tavern. The proprietors, Cindy and Dave, make us consistently feel like family. After being overseas for several weeks, this was the first place I had to go for dinner. Tuesday night is steak night and what a deal for $20. Some of the most juicy steak I've ever had ... and it's a HUGE delicious portion. And Fridays they have incredible mussels as well. Highly recommend Brooklyn Tavern. Stop in and say hi to Cindy and Dave. You won't be disappointed!!!!
My sister, Carolyn, took us here for dinner, and it was fantastic. From the front of the restaurant to the cozy, homey patio out back, the whole place just feels like a great place to stop in for a meal, the service was friendly and polite (they even took a picture of us, and it was a good one) and the food was great. Too many restaurants take basic dishes and overwork them, but Brooklyn takes basic dishes and makes them sing.
Came for a late afternoon lunch with my friend. Second time here and never disappointed. Service was excellent and brunch was delicious. Brooklin red was was yummy too. Is my go to spot when I'm in that neighbourhood.
Incredibly friendly and attentive service and the food is always consistently amazing. This is our “go to” local haunt and we love it. Always made to feel welcome. Would not hesitate to recommend.
