Sweet Mahal - Toronto

It doesn't taste bad don't get me wrong, but the looks are a bit deceiving. I was hoping it would be amazing and I found it to be pretty average. I had the tandoor chicken, chicken seekh kabob, hariyali chicken and naan. Yes chicken overload but have had better versions of all of them.

Definitely, One of the Best Authentic Indian Cuisine Restaurants around!It is very close to the Woodbine Race Track Center, but located on the opposite side. Worth the drive because this place is the real deal.It's small and quaint, but the menu is big and plentiful! Loved everything we ate. They offer Dine-in or Take out, and Catering as well. Been coming to Sweet Mahal for a few years now and the food has always been amazing. Fresh, well spiced and full of flavour. Highly recommend for real authentic flavour. The new cool renovations give this small shop a nice modern look. Try the gulab jamuns while there.

We went there tonight for dinner - just walked in. I am glad we did!! Neat and clean place, looks very inviting. My wife and I placed an order for their Sweet Mahal grill and a vegetarian thali. The sizzler consisted of some reaqlly succulent chicken tikkas, tandoori chicken, fish tikka and some shrimp...all very delicately spiced. The chicken was very tender and juicy indeed!The vegetarian thali had three vegetables (i picked up Chhole, Mushroom Masala and Palak Paneer) with Naan, rice and dessert (Carrot Halwa). Excellent preparation...thoroughly enjoyed the nuanced spices of Mushroom Masala and Chhole. Perfect finish with Carrot Halwa!!I will definitely visit this place again and try some more from their menu.
