The Captain's Boil - Toronto

Excellent food and service! This was my first time eating here and I loved it. Garlic shrimp was delicious.

The seafood fried rice was too oily. Oil was dripping from the box it was packed. Didn't expect the most popular item to be like this The rice was okay but the shrimps were good. Also ordering online was a breeze 2stars for that. Should improve foodquality.

The food at Captain Boil was tasty and delicious, but extremely spicy. Despite ordering mild, even the fries were too spicy for my liking. I couldn't enjoy my meal as much as I wanted to because of the intense heat. Additionally, I requested light garlic sauce for my crab king leg, but the dish was overwhelmingly garlicky. If you prefer milder flavors, this branch may not be the best choice for you. I gave them a 4 overall rating, but only a 3 for the food. Sorry, Captain Boil.

Perhaps it's just my opinion, but here is my review of the restaurant. The positives were that the staff were very friendly, especially towards kids. They offered a small Kid's Meal section on the menu. However, the seafood dishes were not impressive. The market price seafood lacked flavor and the sauce was too thick, overpowering the taste of the shrimp, mussels, and clams. Serving the food in a plastic bag seemed gimmicky and lazy, especially considering the whole shrimp still had legs and a head. The lack of a lobster fork and flies near the washroom were also disappointing. Additionally, the kids' sinks were too high for infants with no footstools provided. Overall, the dining experience did not justify the high price point.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant on my first visit! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious! Everything was made to order, so it was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. I was thoroughly impressed and had an amazing dining experience.
