Gaetano's - Torrance

I absolutely love this place. Most people know about it, but it was my first time there. The food was fresh in the service was amazing.. everyone is so friendly and helpful. The ambience is very romantic if you're on a date but it's family style to.. totally enjoy my experience and we'll go again

Last night I was browsing menus on Yelp trying to figure out where to go for dinner. I had bookmarked Gaetanos and their Braised Short Rib pasta with Chianti sauce caught my eye. It sounded so good I had to try it and let me tell you, it was A-MAZING! I love short ribs and never had it served with pasta like that. They added fresh grated parmesan.. OMG I am hooked!! I seriously wanted to eat the whole plate all but I knew I'd be miserably full and would miss out on leftovers for lunch. It was just as good (maybe better) leftover today. You can really taste the freshness of the pasta. It paired very well with the Guenoc Merlot, not to mention was reasonably priced! The bread they bring is crusty outside and warm with a dipping sauce that is delish! My bf ordered the lasagna and it was really good and a generous portion. We topped it off with tiramisu which was good, but for me not worth those extra calories. This is our new go-to for Italian. Please don't ever take that off of your menu!! I must say our waiter (wish I could remember his name) was amazing also! It was really a great date night experience.

Just a great spot all around. Lasagna is a must have. Well poured drinks and a fun local place to hang out. Great ownership and really good service.

The food was ok. Im just upset that they brought me what could only be toilet water. It smelled like a sewer.
