The Westleigh Inn - Torridge

We decided to choose items from the Specials board; I had the Pheasant Crown and my wife enjoyed a generous Fillet of Pollock. Both dishes were well-cooked and beautifully presented. We also indulged in desserts, and my wife remarked that her Apple Cinnamon Crumble was the best she had ever tasted. I treated myself to a delightful cheeseboard, which was indulgent but satisfying. The young staff were helpful and attentive without being intrusive. I noticed some recent reviews claiming it's just another "Gastro Pub." While it may be classified as such, it truly excels in that category. We would definitely come back again!

If you're in the Bideford/Instow area, be sure to stop by this lovely pub. It features a fantastic outdoor seating area with wonderful views, while the indoor space is warm and inviting. It's a dog-friendly venue, and there's even a play area for children. The menu has a variety of traditional pub dishes along with daily specials, ensuring there's something for everyone. Even our furry friends were treated to a sausage each! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was quick and attentive.

We visited as a family for Sunday lunch and were greeted warmly upon our arrival. The service was outstanding, and the Sunday roast was simply delightful. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The meats and vegetables were excellent. If we had to point out one minor issue, it would be that the roast potatoes could use some improvement, as they were not quite up to par with the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend it!

Visited this Pub in Westleigh for the 2nd time and had yet another fantastic meal. The staff are friendly, courteous and provide a fantastic service. If you are on Holiday or live in the Bideford or Westwood Ho! area it is worth booking to have athis is a lunchtime or evening meal. Happy for you to take your dog as long as it is well behaved. The view from the Pub are fantastic. If I could I would give it more than the 5 stars.

I decided to have the Liver Bacon on the Specials board. It did not disappoint. The liver was cooked perfectly and the onion gravy was superb. With all of the staff being courteous and very friendly, the whole ambience of the place is warm and inviting.
