Bidra med feedbackLook beyond the flashy neon sign that reads Tokyo Express, which might lead you to think it’s a Japanese restaurant, and you’ll discover what I believe is the only Korean restaurant in the Baltimore suburbs. As another reviewer noted, while I've had better, that's something you could say about almost any dining experience. In my opinion, their strengths lie in the kimchi, panchan, and BBQ, all of which are very flavorful. The spicy soups were excellent, and the sundubu was decent (at least they offer it). I did wish the bibimbap came with meat, but I managed that on my own, and it was quite tasty nonetheless. The decor leans more towards a typical strip mall vibe rather than upscale dining, but I'm there to eat, not to admire the surroundings. The prices are reasonable, especially considering how often Korean food can be on the pricier side. My only regret is having spent the past four years mistakenly thinking it was just a Japanese place in a strip mall. Definitely give it a try; it’ll save you the trip to Ellicott City when you don't feel like driving far.
If you happen to pass by the bright neon sign that says "Tokyo Express" (which misleads many into thinking it’s a Japanese restaurant), you’ll discover the only Korean eatery in this Baltimore suburb.
