Kengo Sushi - Tracy

I visited this restaurant not too long ago with my family after moving from the Bay Area. We were eager to find a great sushi place, which can be a challenge in a new city, but Yelp made it easier. We tried the California Roll, the Lion King Roll, and got a side of rice for our little one. The rolls were delicious, and the staff was very friendly. I also had a Thai Iced Tea and an Arnold Palmer, both of which I enjoyed. The atmosphere was peaceful and pleasant, especially since we’re accustomed to louder restaurants.

I'm not usually a fan of teriyaki, but on a good day, Kengo serves the best teriyaki I've ever tasted. On not-so-great days, it comes off like the teriyaki you'd find at any other restaurant. What really makes it exceptional is the flavor; it has that perfect grilled taste that suggests the meat has been cooked over coals for a nice char. I'm not sure if they actually grill the meat, but it certainly tastes that way on a good day. As for their sushi, it's pretty standard compared to other sushi places. However, I would definitely choose Kengo over the newer Zoku for sushi in Tracy.

The sushi here is excellent, and the staff is both professional and attentive. The presentation of the dishes is impressive. Overall, my experience was incredibly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a more upscale dining experience in Tracy.

The sushi is okay. I might need to try other rolls because the lion king seems lacking. The food came out pretty fast. The service was good. We were seated right away. The employees always made sure we had hot tea and that our water are filled. It seems that a lot of people go there take out and eat in. And, it wasn't too loud. The employees seems to enjoy working there.

Very good service, vibe is awesome and the food is great!! The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very attentive. Hands down best Sushi restaurant in Tracy!!
