It was the first restaurant in Italy where I was hungry after dinner... We ordered a fish plate and we were very surprised when we saw this plate.... it was a small piece of fish, only 3 shrimps and 2 squid rings. We were very disappointed. The only reason to give this place two stars was the owner who was very friendly and hospitable. Update to the answer: We have ordered two fish plates for each one of us, and the bill was counted for two plates, not for one. I'm sorry, but I think it's not normal to react like that.
Terrible Easter. Rugged from the first to the last dish. I'm sorry to go. Changed trade, I'm also seeing the owner's responses to negative reviews and are really meaningless and say childish is really little, just excuses and direct responds to people who criticize and not to criticism themselves. If recent reviews are only negative are not people having a bad taste but maybe it's time to change something
This was a fantastic restaurant. The food was homemade. It's family run; the sons are the waiters, father takes care of the business side and the mother cooks the meal and then comes out afterwards to see how well you liked your meal. we had a fantastic meat Ragu pasta, our daughter had pistachio gnocchi and we had great caprese salad appetizer and a local to Trepanier appetizer of meats, cheeses and homemade marmalade as well as bread, grilled eggplant etc. It was a fantastic place and I highly recommend it to anybody. It is much better than the touristy restaurant on the main strip. My pasta dish was huge next time will share it with my husband. Prices are very reasonable.
I was thrilled to eat here. Momma cooks and she's damn good. We enjoyed the smoked fish and eggplant appetizers, a poor man's salad, swordfish with a tomato/capers/olive sauce that was the best dish I've had in the past week and busciata pasta with fish. The local white wine was excellent and the cannolo was one of the best in Sicily with ricotta so fresh that it brought tears to my eyes. I would eat here more than once. Must try the couscous next.
