The best Jamaican food I have tasted in Trenton. So good it because my go to place when I feel like eating Jamaican food whenever I am in Trenton

After having gone here several times, they finally disappointed me. I ordered the small oxtail platter the last time (as usual) I went. I swear there was one small spoonful of cabbage, a BOATLOAD of rice and beans, which I love but NOT like that! The meat was okay except that one of the pieces was burnt and dried out. I can't justify paying $25, which included a bottle of water for that. Nope, I'll go somewhere else. I know it's gonna be expensive everywhere but I'll take my chances...

Update 8/2023: Food has been more consistent and is always hot and fresh. Best in the area in my opinion.I think they have 2 chefs because food taste better on weekday evenings. Prices increased it portions are smaller. The small is now the large? I keep going because it's the only Jamaican spot I like in the area.

We just ordered takeout tonight, and it really was exceptional! The curry chicken and jerk pork were great, and I loved the Mac and cheese so much flavor! I think I fell in love with the chicken soup the most, though. It was so delicious, thick and hearty with chicken, vegetables, potato, and dumplings. The broth was concentrated in flavor and peppery, one of the best I’ve ever had!

Ordered chicken soup, was ok, got one tiny piece of chicken. Dumplings could've been cooked longer. But for NJ I guess it's ok.
