Lo Porto Caffe - Troy

It's been years since our last visit to LoPorto, and it was just as busy as I remembered. The food here continues to impress with its delicious take on classic Italian dishes, all at a reasonable price. My only complaint is the outdated decor and Formica bar. The large, unattractive coat rack also adds to the aesthetic issue. While these concerns won't deter me from returning, they do take away from the otherwise excellent dining experience that LoPorto offers.

I enjoyed the lasagna, while my daughter chose the eggplant Parmesan, both of which were fantastic. The wine selection was impressive as well. For appetizers, we shared garlic butter clams, which were delicious. Our hostess and waitress, Sharyn, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance was intimate and relaxing. We will definitely return. Everything was so good that I forgot to take pictures, which is a first for me! Lol.

This restaurant consistently exceeds expectations! The dishes are freshly made with a level of care that reflects personal attention. The classic ambiance and attentive service are unbeatable. Without a doubt, it’s my top choice for Italian food in the capital region.

This is not just one of the best Italian restaurants in Troy; it's one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere. The food is truly exceptional and always served piping hot. This hometown gem is rich in history and consistently makes you feel like part of the family.

Despite its location in a less desirable area, this restaurant is definitely WORTH A VISIT. The portions are generous, the staff is welcoming, and it really feels like my grandmother is cooking in the kitchen! It's an incredible home away from home.
