Thank you for your response. I plan to try a carryout option next time. I apologize if my previous comments seemed harsh; I just wasn’t expecting the level of service we received. I would have appreciated a clearer explanation of the situation at the time, as we felt a bit confused about what was happening. When we were advised not to order a particular item unless we really wanted it, it made us feel like the kitchen either didn't enjoy preparing it or that we might be a burden by ordering it. I understand you were operating with a small team of four, which is quite challenging. I admit I may have misunderstood some of the information, but prior to ordering, the customer service was excellent. However, once we placed our order, we didn’t receive a check-in or a two-bite follow-up, which is something I’ve experienced at other restaurants. This lack of communication might have led us to order more food, as we ended up having to get extra items from another place that evening. I appreciate your hard work, especially since it seemed you were managing tables in the dining room largely on your own. This is just my perspective on our dining experience, and your response has definitely helped clarify things. I hope to update this review next year and wish you continued success, along with the potential for additional staff.

I absolutely adore this restaurant—it truly feels like a family. Alice is the friendliest hostess you'll ever meet, and Michael, the waiter, is a delight. He goes out of his way to ensure that everyone has everything they need, and he is both quick and dependable. The chef may be back in the kitchen keeping a low profile, but his amazing dishes speak for themselves. Come and enjoy a meal at this wonderful place!

This is the best Chinese food in the country! My family has been dining here since the 1980s, and I always eagerly anticipate my meals here. Some of the must-try dishes include shrimp toast, egg drop soup, egg rolls, and almond boneless chicken. Alice is amazing, and she runs a fantastic place at The New China.

The prices are fair, and I sampled the fried rice, which came in a modest but satisfactory portion. The egg roll was somewhat greasy, and sadly, I didn't find any meat in it. There are several excellent Chinese restaurants in the area, so I'm not sure if I would return.

We’ve been dining in and ordering takeout from this restaurant for many years, and the food is consistently fantastic. Occasionally, the service can be a little slow when they’re busy, but the waitstaff is always attentive. I really love the interior as well. The drinks are also excellent! Thank you, New China, for delivering delicious food to us all these years!
