I never know what to order here. I walk in and just say tacos. BB it that just opens up on a whole. Ew door of anxiety.
Yep, time has marched on the interior has changed , more modernized all but thank heavens the food specifically the taco platter) has not changed. Still super tasty, super basic lots of tummy satisfying flavor. Never have had a bad experience here in the many many years we've come. Can't make it often due to conflicting hours but make it as often as we can. Love this place.
I 've driven past Mary 's Lucky Dollar Restaurant many times but today I brought my wife another 3 friends for breakfast. I ordered the chorizo with beans, 2 eggs papas (potatoes). It came with tortillas. I had read in other online reviews this was to go to order at Mary 's. With the first taste of my breakfast I had a smile on my face. This food tasted GOOD. The addition of salsa heated up the plate just enough. The salsa came in what I thought was a bottle of ketchup, but ketchup it was not. The interior of Mary 's was bright, clean, and busy. Another 6 or 8 people were also having breakfast. The tables were clean, solid (not plastic chairs like in an older online review). My overall experience going to this small, local café was 100% positive. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the place, the taste and quality of the food, and the friendliness and competence of the staff. I can 't wait to try the huevos rancheros next time.
Went for the all you can eat seafood soup. $7.99 and worth it. Comes with fish, shrimp, squid, octopus and sting ray. I haven't had a bad meal here yet. Worth stopping in.
