Incredible experience! While traveling across the country, I always seek out charming, family-run restaurants, and El Vera Cruz truly stands out. Nestled in the middle of nowhere near Tupelo, Mississippi, this is a place I now make a point to visit every year on my journey from Georgia to Minnesota. I couldn't help but share my experience, highlighted by a refreshing 22-ounce Dos Equis beer, a fantastic margarita, and some of the best enchiladas I've ever had—authentically homemade and full of flavor. You'd easily pay double for a meal like this anywhere else! I'm grateful to the staff for their outstanding work, especially during such challenging times.

I was greeted and seated promptly, and my order was taken quickly. The menu featured a variety of lunch specials, and I chose the taquitos mexicanos with corn tortillas. While I waited for my meal, I was served a basket of tortillas and a cup of white queso with bean dip. The atmosphere was comfortable, soothing, and peaceful, as seen in the booth pictures. The taquitos were perfectly crispy, and the meat was tender, similar to beef tips. My plate also included guacamole, sour cream, and a fresh lettuce mix. I really enjoyed the food, and the servers were attentive and professional, efficiently ensuring that customers were served and on their way in a timely manner. I even received a pleasant smile from my server toward the end of my visit!
