Another Broken Egg Cafe - Tuscaloosa

Food was great! It came out quickly. Leave only four stars because our waitress has barely checked for us and we did not get any refills on our drinks until we finished our food.

We were already on a few occasions to this breakfast place and both times were fantastic. The City Grits are the way to go up with fresh tomatoes. All that comes from the kitchen is fresh and well done. Beautiful view of the river certainly does not hurt!

Impressively mediocre experience. We went on Saturday at 8:30 in the morning. What I would normally expect to be the best service at a Brunchplatz. But it was best mediocre It felt like it was our lucky morning because there was only a 20-minute waiting time. But it went right downhill from there when only a first glass of water lasted 10 minutes. And the whole meal was like this, with us trying to eat and go because the waitress never checked for us to see if we needed refills or something. We didn't wait to see the bill in the end, because we've been there for an hour and wanted to go, so we gave the waitress our credit card in the hope to go as soon as possible. But also with it she went in and we watched how she helped a table of six order that lasted another 15 minutes. As for food, while most of him were all right, the icing on the cake was that the eggs of my husband Benedict had eggs that were fried until they were boiled hard, see the picture. I didn't even know this was possible. And since the service was so poor, it wasn't worth fixing when we wanted to leave before lunch.

The best brunch in town! Love it. The food is so delicious.

We were Out of Towners lol! Love the place food was good but the second visit ? waiter was a thief ! 7/19/21 My 2 daughters and I ate here after dropping my other daughter off for her college Orientation and the food and service was excellent! Our waitress Danni ? she was amazing ? she made the experience WONDERFUL ? we enjoyed everything so much couldn?t help ourselves we dined in again but on our way back home ! Food was excellent , so was the service but come to find out today 9/22/21 the male waiter we had decided to give himself an extra 20.00 tip! Charged an extra 10.00 to my card and charged an extra 10.00 to my daughters card ! So if you don?t live in Tuscaloosa then I would be cautious . I crossed out the tip line as I always do! I never leave a tip with my debit card ?. Cash tips only! He was left a 15.00 cash tip ! So watch your cards people ! Use cash ?????
