Bidra med feedbackSo this is a real contribution that shares the true experience of my family and thoughts about buying my mother to edgar's red velvet cake, which was destined for the birthday of my sister. my mother followed all the logs of the order of this bakery and presented her order a week before the birthday of my sister. she came into the bakery to get her cake at the time she named, just to find that the bakery did not make her cake. the workers begin to spice and produce the cake they see in the pictures. what a better way to say happy birthday than a sloppy cake from a “professional” bakery! Not! They literally pulled a cake out of the freezer and threw it together and made a very slutty birthday cake for my sister. my mother told them it wasn't her cake, but she had to go and take it. let's examine this cake. note the round crevices that are perfectly arranged around the top of the cake. they make a perfect circle around the cake, are they for deviled eggs, or could they be there where a kind of tough zeal decoration is earlier? Do you also consider the small section on the side of the cake that is missing icing? has a worker test it cost before the birthday girl? I hope not! bad protocol! Finally, check the centering of the cake on the cake plate! is there a dive of an adult drink that is involved in making this cake? How are you getting out of the middle? I don't know the answer to these questions, but what I know is that it was the birthday of my sister. this is what my mother was forced to leave edgar's bakery with or without. we have made photos of the cake because they would not believe it if they did not see it! Finally, pictures are worth a thousand words. the next day, my mother made a call to discuss the bad conditions of her cake, which was ordered and paid for a week before the birthday of my sister. that doesn't mean that it wasn't even cooked or decorated when she arrived. My mother felt like, despite her efforts to follow the logs of bakery, she could have been a victim of bad business, and she felt as if she should do it right. after the revolving of courteously circumventing with edgar customer service that do not really want to fix their mistakes, my mother was finally a gift card for less than the amount she paid for the cake that she ordered properly after the log of bakery. my mother liked to take the offer because we ate the cake. now, due to unfortunate circumstances with covid, it was literally impossible for my mother to load in the for immediate picking up her gift card. my mother could finally send a daughter to get the gift card, but my sister was denied the gift card and said there was no record of it. a call to the customer service after this incident led to contradictory information. a person said the gift card was denied because there was no record of a gift card. another person said that my mother had to pick up the card personally with identification, but could not ever make it clear that there was really a gift card available for collection. is this cake really worth having the whole problem? are we not all fighting to survive the pandemic? where did the line draw? I don't know. I only share my honest experience with edgar. I see some people had similar experiences. I'm not sure they've ever solved their problems. I am grateful for the cake, but I want to inform others. personally I say order on your own danger, but do not expect professionalism in its finest. may be burdening covid this business with bad quality staff, or perhaps they have a personal shortage as all others. I think I'll go with betty crocker next time. I can also make an ugly cake! I think it will be much cheaper and taste better! update: mama went into the load to pick up her gift card personally, as she was told. she was given the run around no gift card on record again and said that this cake was the norm. they gave her the gift card. once again, use this place at their own risk!
Always a good place to go. Good food and great desserts.
We had breakfast. Bought some cake beverages. Picked up a standing preplaced order. Yum. Yummy. Fresh. And yes. I ate my already prepared $4.00, three layered slice of caramel cake as I waited for my very hot and tasty ham and cheese croissant. Very filling, too.
So very disappointed! The chefs salt shaker fell in to my egg sandwich . So salty can’t eat ! 8 bucks out the window . I was looking forward to a good bakery sandwich but unfortunately not good! They should ask customers if they want salt and pepper so this doesn’t happen again!
This place is amazing. Tuscaloosa is an overnight stopping point for us and Edgar's is our go-to for breakfast and to grab pastries for the road. They make the most amazing breakfast sandwiches on the best biscuits ever. Also, their grits are incredibly creamy and delicious. Of course, their specialty are an endless assortment of cookies, pastries, cakes and other baked snacks. Love everything at Edgars and it is our highlight when stayin over in Tuscaloosa.
