Bidra med feedbackCome for the beer list, stay for the beer list. I was a night in town for work and wanted a place to meet some friends. I chose this place based on reviews, proximity to my hotel and the length of the beer list. I came 7:00 in front of my friends. The place was packed with a variety of happy hours people (they have happy hour on Saturday, which is tidy) and diners. I was initially alone and sat at the bar between 2 groups of middle-aged couples, the bar of a group of attractive 30-year-old women. A number of appointments were also at the bar. The Happy Hour Specials were good large cups of the 20-hour craft beers on tap and a selection of t he menu. I ate a spring green salad and pizza, both recommended by the bartender. In retrospect, I wish I ignored his recommendations and followed my own eye as neither great, and I thought there were better alternatives. Still, not bad. The beer list was generally the highlight. The place quickly cleared our at 7:00 in the 45 minutes after the end of the happy ones. My friends came a little before 8 and we easily moved to a bar table and got some Cursory waiting service from the bar. Not bad, though the beer list was by far the highlight.
Regular Customer. For me eating out has never been a joy until I discovered CG Tysons. It's a nice place with incredible service and great tasting food. In some restaurants, its either just a nice place but poor service lousy food. Not at Chef Geoff's, you get all three. The first time I was here was last year. I was walking down the street when suddenly it rained. I took shelter inside Chef Geoff's and noticed some people having Happy Hour at the bar. 30 minutes later, the rain stopped, but I was already starting to enjoy Happy Hour and was busy talking with a couple of other customers. I stayed for another 2 to 3 hours before heading home. After that experience, I became a regular customer until now.
: Nothing Surpasses Chef Geoff's Tyson's Happy Hour. Other happy hours pale in comparison to what Chef Geoff Tyson's on Monday nights offers to its customers. At 5.95 the CG burgers are prepared to order and deliciously yummy. Wine bottles are half priced and there's a whole assortment of beer specials to choose from. There's always something for everyone. This is absolutely the best deal anyone can have.
My Family's Top Choice. My family and I really enjoy eating at Chef Geoff's Tyson. It's practically tradition to spend some family time together at this restaurant. Whenever there is a reason to celebrate, for sure we have it here. Or even when there is nothing to celebrate about, we still prefer dining at Chef Geoff's Tyson. My wife really likes their salads. She would always comment about the freshness and sweet/tangy flavor of her favorites. Even though I'm a hundred percent meat-lover, I agree with her. For myself, I love their sandwiches. There's a lot to choose from and normally, would take me a while to get over one kind of sandwich before choosing a different one. My kids prefer ordering their own food. They have their own personal favorites and sometimes they try on other stuff as well. Their menus are made for children, with puzzles and mazes for them to play with while waiting for their order to be served. On 27th April 2011, they have this event called Lioco Wine Dinner. My wife and I would not want to miss out on this event.
Good food, but.... For lunch the salmon burger was deliciously moist with fries that were nicely seasoned but could have been crisper (fresher? , unfortunately this was at my friend's place. They got my order wrong after recommending the burger and gave me the salmon entree instead it too was good anyway. My black trousers were full of lint when I got up to leave love it when restaurants give you the black napkin!! In spite of these things, I'd definitely give it another try.
