Bidra med feedbackI had a craving for Jamaican food and this restaurant was the closest option, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, along with mac and cheese. I waited an hour for my food, but I was okay with that, thinking it would be hot and fresh. Unfortunately, I was wrong! The rice was overly salty, and I don't believe the oxtail was genuine; it had lost all its flavor. It honestly felt like they might have taken the food out of a freezer and just reheated it when I placed my order. I really didn't enjoy the meal at all, and I'm very disappointed.
Terrible customer service. If I could rate zero stars I would. I placed an order by phone and was told it would be ready in 45 min. I arrived 10 min after the phone call so I decided to use the restroom and sit on the inside. The door of the restroom was locked and beside it was a sign that clearly read “Restroom is for customers only”. As I went to ask if the door was locked, some old man who didn’t acknowledge my existence said not a word and some “man” from the back came and said that it was locked while the older man said someone was in there (all of a sudden saw that I was there). Weird that they both said two separate things so I sat and waited. Another 3 min or so goes by and I go back up to the counter to ask the older man if he was sure someone was in there. Again, he never looked up even though I started to tap on the plexi glass to get his attention. The “man” from the back comes out and I asked him how does the older man know someone is in there, then the older man gets up and says sorry while trying to pass me the keys. The man from the back asked if I was buying anything and I told him that I had already told the old man I ordered over the phone. He then proceeds to tell me that the restroom is not “really” for customers so I told him the sign says so, and he says again it’s not really for customers. So I told him they need to remove the sign and they can keep the food. I will NEVER come again. It gave very racist vibes . What a way to make a first impression.
Mama Sher's catered food for my daughter's party, and everyone couldn't stop praising it. We enjoyed oxtail, jerk chicken, curry chicken, rice and peas, plantain, and vegetables, and everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you for preparing such amazing food; it truly was the best catered meal I've ever had. I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10!
I’ve been longing for Jamaican food, but I’ve always been skeptical about ordering it in New Jersey, as I’m from New York. Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed. The food was bland and lacked flavor. I ordered oxtail and fish, and both were just awful. I ended up wasting $74 from Uber Eats. I also tried the jerk wings, and they were merely okay—nothing out of the ordinary.
The atmosphere was nice, warm, ,felt like home . The food was delicious with a nice
