Ordered their beef stew today through uber eats and the beef stew had no beef in it. not a single one! :
This place is the best Vietnamese place in the TRI-City area. It isn't as good as Vietnamese food in San Jose, but it will do for a craving or something late night since they open late. I came here around 7 PM on a Monday. The place was pretty empty, only one other party in there. I was seated right away (pick your own seat). The place filled up shortly after and a lot of orders were coming in for pick up. I ordered a Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu. The Bun Bo Hue was decent, a bit on the sweet side and not really spicy so I asked for some saté to spice it up. It isn't a Bun Bo Hue An Nam, but the flavor is acceptable/passes (4/5). The Bun Rieu is also not spectacular but passes as Bun Rieu if you add more saté (4/5). Service here is pretty slow, as there seems to be many orders and they seem extremely short staffed. There is only one waiter in the front taking calls, delivering food, and ringing up food delivery people, poor guy! The workers were really nice, though so it makes up for it. Overall, I was happy with my meal and the service. I would recommend this place for good Vietnamese food with your family.
We dropped in after a film since this is the only place open late at night. Ordered 3 items. Only 2 items served but our receipt wasn't updated. Unorderd food kept coming in. We tell them it's not our order, then they ask around to find the right customer. That's how disorganized and understaffed it is. The food used to be excellent here but not any more. Pho served without fresh veggie dish. Should have stopped by In-N-Out for a quick meal.
Yesterday evening, my friend and I shared the grilled pork patty rolls (m absolute faaaaaavorite article on the menu, the wonton BBQ pork noodle soup, the grilled pork banh mi sandwich, and lucky shake. Suuuupe delicious!!! I don't know why I haven't written any ratings for this place yet. I've been here for a few years. My son and I stumbled at this place when we coveted a few Pho and it was over 10p... most Vietnamese places in this area close 9p/9:30p/10p. May 's kitchen is open 'to 11p! Winner. Besides, Johnny was so friendly and accommodating when we first went there. We've done it a lot. Johnny remembers me on the face, knows what I want to order, and even makes delicious recommendations when I feel like something else. I remember the first night Johnny hacked the karaoke at the restaurant... he threw me on the microphones and I fell in love with the place. Don't watch this sweet little place. I brought most of my closest friends and family here at one or other time and we all agree that this is the place to go in our area. Happy dinner! [Happy sings]
