As another of my locals, I have to give Dows 5 stars. The pub is split in 2 the Sports Bar, featuring pool table, darts board, jukebox and quiz machine, and the lounge bar which hosts quiz nights, karaoke nights and poker tournaments. Although the clientele are generally older, there are quite a lot of youths from the neighbouring Hilton and Drakies regions who tend to start their nights there. Within the lounge bar is the restaurant, which boasts a tasty menu at reasonable prices. The poker tournaments on Thursday nights encourage more people into the bar, and creates a chilled out atmosphere.
This is the closest I get to a local bar and I have to say taht I really like it as a friendly place to watch the football: cheap beer good atmosphere (i have not experienced the neds, but maybe i am just lucky) and the pub grub is very good for what it is. I would say this is the best pub to watch the football in Inverness (other pubs might have more screens or be bigger)
Typical pub food. Awful karaoke, the bar is full of neds, nice beer though!
