Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant has a great layout offering the right atmosphere and the menu and wine list promised a lot at the right price. Unfortunately our meals were slow in coming and the quality of what we got did not live up to our expectations.
Although we booked it was a busy night so had to wait at the bar till 8pm - then had to order dessert with main order as the chef needed to know ahead. We had seafood crepe
Aegean Waters offers first class Dining to Hervey Bay. The Menu is quite extensive with a good variety of dishes. A good Restaurant for that Special Occasion.
Should have known better when Liberty said "We are French, all of our meals are done in cream and butter". This is a major problem with my wife's dairy allergy but most good restaurants today are familiar with allergies and work well to adjust.Further, we have been to France enough times to know that French chefs have moved on in recent years and don't stick to ancient mores.The menu is incredibly dated, more like food I remember from the 70's but when I saw Beef Wellington on the menu, thought back to olden / golden days when I enjoyed it and nostalgia won me over.It was one of the worst dishes I have ever had, dry dry dry. Not a sliver of moisture and taste.Even the vegetables were presented in a manner last seen decades ago.The decor itself is ancient - nothing like you would see in France today but to make it worse, the service is so slow.They seem to believe that to take a couple of hours is a virtue I don't like fast food in a good restaurant but 70 minutes between an entree and main course is not forgivable.
Have been a couple of times now. Always pretty good. Would recommend it to others and would return in the future
