Favela's Mexican Grill - Vacaville

This place is a complete demolition.. The Burrito had no taste and the rice were super Bland, the worst salsa ever it was dark red in color as they added some color to it. above that the staff is extremely rude, not polite or nice at all. Had the worst expedition ever come here. Please check all yelp and google reviews before you come here because this place tastes so bad when there is much better option. Got your money and ENERGY.

I immediately emerged myself in conversation with what seemed to be the Manager and/or possibly the owner(he rushed up to the register) not only was he trying to justify what I wanted in my burritos, as if in a hurry n nobody behind me and kept putting words in my mouth. Very respectfully I asked him, are your burritos big, cause I like big burritos and he said just look at the tortillas, which seemed to be bigger than Chipoodle 's by a good margin! When I got out in my car n looked at burritos and was very disappointed and could not believe I had just had a Burrito from Green Burrito/Carls JR last night that was a bit bigger n taste was on point, but for $2 more from a Mexi restaurant n a whole lot a tortilla? Common Man! How do you expect to survive, GOOD PRODUCT IS GOOD BUSINESS, DONT SERVE HALF TORTILLA BURRITOS( IF YA GOTTA ADD MORE RICE N BEANS TO FILL, THEN DO SO DO NOT SERVE HALF TORTILLA BURITTOS ! NOT GOOD FOD FOR BUSINESS! Sad, very sad and I judge Burritos over the vast majority of Sac. Down through the Bay. BOTTOM LINE, I ASKED IF THE BURRITOS WERE BIG, GOT LIED TO AND GOT A HALF TORTILLA/BURRITO! NOT COOL FOR A CONSUMER BURRITO LOVER! OH! AND YOUR BUSINESS! NOT COOL

I've been going to this restaurant with some regularity since it opened at this location I think about 20 years ago. I have enjoyed each of the hundreds of meals I've had here and I've never once been disappointed. The food is prepared with quality ingredients by people who are skilled at making fine meals. With so many Mexican restaurants to choose from Favela's really stands out in value and quality. My favorites are the steak nachos, chicken chimichanga, chile verde burrito and chicken fajitas.

I literally came here for 20 years. The other food is great, but often I just want the light snack. Guacamole has a small kick and is always consistent. No wonder they're expanding.

While I do love the restaurant, every time I order ahead I try to get a burrito without beans and they always add beans. It?s half the weight of the burrito. I do try to clarify as many times as possible to remember the subtraction, but instead of confirming they say ?10 minutes? and hang up.
