Bidra med feedbackRelax. This is a small Mexican Restaurant that sits right on the water. There are floor to ceiling windows on the side facing the river; this added ambiance makes it so much easier to sit inside and view the beautiful sunset with a glass of wine and good company. The interior is a maritime theme, very nice. It is simple and comfortable; a place where you can really relax after a tortuous day.<br/ <br/ This is a young restaurant and there are many wrinkles to iron out.<br/ <br/ the menu is limited but the food is really good; the chef will not cook your food until it is ordered (I really like that). Which means, be prepared to sit for awhile and relax while your dinner is cooking. <br/ <br/ there is seating on the dock (for lack of a better word), outside, very nice to have lunch or dinner outside in the summer.<br/ <br/ I highly recommend visiting Vik's at least once, just to experience the friendly service provided by Vik's staff.<br/ <br/ and that's all she wrote :
Brad W.. Great place to get a cold beer or drink on the Vallejo waterfront. Outstanding view, good food and reasonably priced. <br/ <br/ The best asset of this place is the people who both work and party there. This place is a cross between CHEERS in Boston and a JIMMY BUFFET waterfront bar.<br/ <br/ I look foward to their new season starting this spring.
This is the place to relax with killer libation and some bomb cooking. Built on the water, the floating deck is the ticket. The couple who run the establishment have hospitality down to a fine art. He cooks the best grits and shrimp you have ever eaten on a Sunday morning, and she mixes the perfect drink anytime of day. DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE.
Great food, great service, and view of bay. Only thing wrong was the lack of to go containers.
Great family friendly eating, drinking restaurant. I'd recommend this to other visitors, like myself, to explore Vallejo across from Mare Island strait.
