Golden Chopsticks - VALLEY VILLAGE

Outstanding! I’m serious—this Egg Foo Young is EXCELLENT, just like the kind you’d find in NYC. It’s absolutely perfect!

This was the first restaurant I went to when I moved to Valley Village in 2002, and it has been a favorite of mine ever since. It's no wonder it has stood the test of time. The House Special Chicken is a must-try!

The food was tasty, and the portions were generous—I even had leftovers for the next day. I ordered takeout, and it was ready in just 15 minutes. The beef broccoli was delicious, as was the mixed chow mein. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because I ordered a large kung pao shrimp, which only contained about 8 shrimp, with the rest being mostly vegetables. The plate was heavy, weighing around 5 pounds, filled with sauce and veggies but lacking in shrimp. It seemed like the portion was intended for three people.

This cozy little restaurant may be tucked away, but it serves fantastic food, offers great service, and has prices that are unbeatable. Definitely worth a visit!
