Jc's -b-q Place - Van Buren

This place was really good. The food was all excellent, especially the briskit....between the two of us we got every kind of meat, except the ribs....I'm telling you...get the briskit it was all good, but the briskit was Devine. All the sides were really good, especially the Cajun corn, and the spicy baked beans. Coleslaw was decent, the potato salad was, well..decent. it wasn't bad...it was just a little underwhelming. The meats made up for it. Sauces...they had mild, hot, and sweet all pretty good. Service was above average, and their new location is nice. My only criticism...and it's not that big a deal are the portion sizes of the meats. Sides were well portioned, but we ate every bit of meat on both our plates. I usually expect to have leftovers so that was a tad sad....until I looked at the check, and two adults ate well for about $15 each. That makes the whole no leftover think understable. All in all, it was a really good late lunch/early dinner. And their fried pies are superb!

Simple but tasty food, excellent service. If you don't already know where this place is, it's easy to miss. Entrance appears to be in the back.

We just love this place .... my mother craves this place and one of your girls have just showed her all the love in the world since before yall moved to the new place and when my mom got sick a year ago we have tried to make sure she has her fix with yalls rids ... not knowing how much my mom really ate at your place I ordered her some stuff couple months back and when I got there they saw the name on the order and made a comment you must one of the daughters of so and so ask how she was and that melted my heart I can't remember her name but when I talked to my mom the other day she told me that she was leaving there to focus on her schooling for her future. Just want to let her know thank you for all her love she showed us and my mother and good luck with her career... love the Mayo ladies :

You can tell this is a locals type of place. At least the waitresses are very nice and make you feel at home. Food is delicious! I personally like their frito pie bbq fries

Great food and fast service. We had a work lunch here, got there when they opened up at 11 and we were back at work by noon. Great service.
