Bidra med feedbackI went there to pick up the drink I ordered through the app. When I arrived at the pickup area, I stood there waiting, but no one came to assist me. After a while, I decided to check if the drink I saw was mine. It turned out it was, so I took it. Only then did an employee finally notice me and, looking annoyed, asked for my name as I was walking away. They told me to provide my name next time, to which I agreed. However, it was hard to communicate when they were avoiding eye contact. I understand they might be busy, but if they don't want customers checking for their drinks themselves, they should come over to assist us first or at least let us know they will help us shortly, rather than getting frustrated with a customer who is just picking up their drink.
I visited this place twice. I'm from Seattle, so I'm familiar with Starbucks Reserve and quality beverages. I wanted to give it a try in Vancouver. I sampled the original hot coffee in the morning and a different cold drink in the afternoon. Unfortunately, both were quite disappointing; they had a very bitter taste, and I ended up throwing them away. I found myself wondering if there was a significant difference in taste between Seattle and Vancouver. Additionally, the counter staff member was not friendly and didn’t offer any suggestions when I had questions about the drinks. While the store is spacious, there isn’t much seating available.
This Starbucks Reserve location is typically very busy. During our week-long vacation, we visited three times and tried several drinks, including the affogato and chocolate cream coffee. While they were a bit pricey, they were quite enjoyable.
My first impression of Starbucks Reserve was that it’s certainly a more upscale version of the typical Starbucks. They offer a unique menu that you won’t find at standard locations. The interior features leather seats, stylish decor, and dark stone accents, creating a cozy yet refined atmosphere. I'm not entirely familiar with all the special features of this location, but it certainly felt like a boutique coffee shop. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, providing plenty of space, although it was busy with customers. All in all, I have no complaints. I received my coffee, found a seat, and left once I finished. The baristas were friendly and efficient, and I only waited about five minutes for my drink.
I tried their hazelnut bianco latte and it was amazing, so I decided to go back. This time, I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte without ice. Unfortunately, I received less than a full cup. When I mentioned it to the barista, she explained that it's their company policy to serve it that way. She did add a bit of ice for me, but the drink still didn't fill the cup. I was really disappointed, especially since it cost me nearly $7.
