Bidra med feedbackFound this place while walking around in the galis of varanasi. Was initially pleasantly surprised to find a Korean place in varanasi. The decor was good and interesting at first instance. However when you step inside you realize it is old and filled with dust and is devoid of any maintenance. The food was utterly disappointing. The owner or whoever was at the counter was least interested in attending to the customers. Not being acquainted with Korean cuisine and looking for vegetarian options, I would have liked some advice but no one was available to provide any. Being clueless thus, we ordered egg biriyani and kimchi fried rice as these looked familiar to us. The biriyani or whatever...read more
Tucked away in narrow lanes behind the ghats of Banaras with minimum or no available mobile network, this cafe can be found with hippies all over the world chilling over a stick of MaryJane, few Korean dishes and desserts. The owner is friendly, the staffs however won't listen to you. The service is fast. Coming to the food, they have vast options available from which their Korean is said to be the speciality. Food, Ambience, Service. Everything is perfect here. Our group had Sujebi bokeum, Japchae bap and Kimchi fried rice. I'm Indian, yet I loved it till the end. Splendid. In the end, we had a Banana Honey Pancake. It was delicious! Very delicious. And yes, we were lucky to get a complimentary coke drink from the owner.
A very quaint place hidden in narrow alleys behind the ghats of Varanasi. Terrific ambience and warm smile of the hostess makes this restaurant a very homely experience. Food is terrific, especially if you want to try authentic Korean ! Even the spaghetti is surprisingly good. But, the show stopper is the banna muffin which tastes heavenly !
