Vaxholms Kastell

Large historical and well maintained burg. they must take a ferry to reach the castle, cost 90kr. after reaching from lock it is an amazing place. there are amazing cannons and starters, some looks from the recent past. Good time to go early in the afternoon and tomorrow, late in the afternoon, coffee shops are closed. lock has some hidden doors that are accessible to the lock personnel, they could allow them to demand them incase. also around the castle it is a great walk.

A lot of fun to run around the island exploring, evening during the cold winter weather. But don't come alone, otherwise you might not be brave enough to go down some of the dark passages on the island. If the passage doors close on you and you are by yourself, there is no one on the island to free you :

The reasonably priced entry ticket included access to the lock, which was a nice bonus. If you love castles, history, ferry rides, or just enjoy walking, this fun ferry trip is worth every penny. However, be aware that vehicles can be a hassle, especially since Vaxholm tends to get crowded during the peak tourist season. Overall, I had a delightful visit to this castle.

I visited the venue with my colleagues, and we had an amazing experience. We started off with tea, coffee, and a variety of baked goods, followed by several team-building activities that tested our skills in leadership, strategy, strength, logic, and even music. Later, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch prepared by the chefs at Fixation, which I highly recommend—there were plenty of options, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. We left with numerous wonderful and entertaining memories. I highly recommend this place for both personal visits and corporate events!

It was a lovely day outside. The fortress is very well maintained and provides a stunning view of the archipelago. The museum tour was very informative, and the staff were friendly throughout.
