Hickory Inn Cafe - Vega

Pretty sure the burgers were fresh ground to order if they did not have to be ground in the morning. Fast service and friendly staff kept people moving, lots of execution while we were there. Definitely seemed like a local hotspot for lunch, basic dining area with attached open kitchen.

We love to find local restaurants while we travel and breakfast places seem that we take most time to stop. That was a great find in Vega! Friendly staff, simple but good menu, good food! We can be some coffee snacks and the coffee was good! Yay for a new place to land west on our next trip.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Great stop on Rte 66. The breakfast Burrito was delicious and homemade French toast was fabulous. Good photo ovens also

Had one of the best Hickory Bacon Cheeseburgers I enjoyed here in my life. Crossed a country trip and found this place west of Amarillo. Sweet potatories were amazing, and the sweet tea was even better than the stuff near my house in South Georgia! Friendly staff and clean inside. Cool vintage look outside made it a really funny experience!

For a middle of nowhere diner this place is impressive! The service is country, southern hospitality and so great! The food is fantastic! We got the hickory burger and Cobb salad and both were delicious! They have lots of options for whatever you're in the mood for. Stop by and say hi, leave full and happy!
