Rongo - Velur

There are not too many restaurants in Vellore where one can good north Indian cuisine. We discovered this on main road itself and were not disappointed. Enough parking space, nice ambience, clean toilets and attentive staff in this recently commissioned hotel. Interior is nice and so also food.

Rongo is the restaurant in Hotel Rengalaya Royal at Vellore. A good restaurant. good food. You can visit it with family.

For theme based buffets this is a place to go. though the food is not so great . tends to be crowded on weekends

I visited this restaurant with my family for all courses offered ( Breakfast ,Lunch & Dinner ) with my family during my recent visit to Vellore.The first thing which is noteworthy about this restaurant is that the Head Chef Rafiq is a true team leader and his team members are accessible should you have any special instructions on the food or cuisine.The restaurant stewards are a fine breed of professionals and proactive people who would always cater to your requests and make you interface with the Head Chef or any member of the food production team should it be needed for you.Food is no frill but very tasty ,simple and simply cheer up your taste buds.I wonder that there are only few kitchen in the city of Vellore who can deliver quality as good as Rongo.You should try their Chinese clear soups,fish cuisine and Lunch Thalis which are mind blowing.Do visit Rongo and push the chefs for " Yeh Dil Maange More"

The restaurant offered a buffet with a variety of Chinese, Indian, and South Indian dishes. However, the food was not tasty at all, so I ended up cancelling my reservation.
