Marshall's Bodacious Bbq - Ventura

The food was outstanding, and the service was pleasant. I would definitely return. I ordered the beef ribs with mac and cheese and macaroni salad. It was so delicious that I almost didn't need the sauce.

The beef ribs are excellent and quite different from my own preparation, providing a refreshing change. The BBQ beans are undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. However, the mac and cheese could use some improvement; it was overcooked, which might have been an isolated incident, but it was also rather bland, and the sauce had been overheated, causing the cheese to become grainy. As for the coleslaw, it was far too bland compared to the flavorful beef and beans. It could use a bit more sweetness, acidity, and salt. Additionally, the menu photos should be updated to reflect the current prices.

I had high expectations for this place based on what I had heard. However, my experience was just average. I would eat here if it were convenient, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It's possible they were just having an off day.

Food is fabulous and the employes are attentive. Love this place, Quality through and through.

We drove from Valencia, it was way worth it. Food was amazing!!!!!
