Bidra med feedbackI personally love sushi, and with this is the only sushi restaurant close to me, I am glad that sumo is. they have a lot of food to choose, and a whole lot of sushi sorte. personally I tried the classic rainbow roll and both paints I have eaten more. I recommend a visit to them!
Here is the best. we probably get at least once a week. always so fresh and tasty. ineffective happy hour. super friendly staff. absolutely recommended – it is our favorite!
Average performance and I have learned that all foods have the same taste. and the outside area is closed during the day I found strange how we are in California and the outside is always beautiful. but they want to sit in the dark. don't understand.
Was very delicious! everything was fresh great table service from our waitress.
Sumo has been a favorite of mine for years. Their kitchen is great with a typical selection of Japanese foods like Tonkatsu, Teriyaki, Tempura, Bento box combinations, Yakiniku, Tatsuta Age and other delicious selections.Their kitchen nicely compliments the sushi bar with many poplar and unique sushi rolls, traditional sashimi, chirashizushi and some of the best Unagi I've experienced in Ventura County. Drinks include soft drinks, tea and coffee, cocktails, beer, wine and saki served in traditionally warm variety and also in a variety intended to be served chilled. The restaurant is warm and inviting, very clean with booth and table seating in addition to seating at the sushi bar. Dinner time may require a wait of 20 minutes or less. The staff have all been very polite with a minor exception I attribute to cultural efficiency more than pushy impatience. My fiance disagrees, lol and are pretty attentive even when busy. The restrooms are well serviced and clean.Sumo celebrates happy hour from 3:00p 6:00p, and a reverse happy hour from 9:00p closing with food and drink specials in each period. Otherwise their prices are still very reasonable during the non happy hours. The restaurant was open through the pandemic and had an enclosed and heated tent in the parking lot. It may still be there and it was a unique and even fun way to enjoy eating out during the social changes.
