The Calzone Macaroni Co - Vernon Hills

First time ever at a location and was pleasantly surprised. Never knew quality Italian fare could turn into fast food. Sort of an early lunch but the venue was empty with the exception of a father son waiting for their takeout. Dining room stayed empty throughout our meal which worried me because I like seeing businesses boom especially on the wknd. Food was delicious, went with a pepperoni-sausage mushroom calzone, wife went with a wrap, daughter had the Lobster Mac and my 6-year-old boy had pasta with red sauce. Only thing I noticed different was no meatballs available. Venue was clean/sanitized, prices seemed reasonable and customer service was top notch. Highly recommended and will definitely come back here!

Small establishment hidden in the plaza by Vernon Hills. Although the ambience isn 't anything special, the place is clean and staff are attentive and kind. They boast a variety of macaroni and calzone options I recommend getting the Snacker Combo so you can try one of each. Prices are quite appropriate especially for the amount and quality of food you are getting. The games set up to play when you are waiting for your food were an unexpectedly nice addition. Will be back soon!

Awful. I was there with my daughter and two young grandsons.We ordered 3 individual meals.They gave us the three meals with3 napkins, 3 forks and 3 knives. My daughter said the children would share and they refused to give us an extra plate and fork or any spoon, unless we paid 35 cents for each item!!! My grandsons shared their macaroni and cheese when a hair was noticed in the MIDDLE! We went to show them. After complaining, they finally made a new one. The restaurant closed at 7:30. We were leaving, and at 728, I went to go to the bathroom. They told me it was already closed and I couldn’t use it! This is my first review ever, and would advise everyone to avoid this place!

Sooo many delicious options to choose from! Fun shuffleboard bowling and connect four games to play while you wait and eat

I've been here nearly a dozen times and will continue to come here for lunch. I've been here with friends and family and have never been disappointed with what I ordered. There are tons of options for mac and cheese or calzones from regular cheesy macaroni to pesto or buffalo chicken. The food is excellent, the wait time is reasonably short, and when going with friends there are tabletop games to play while we wait and chat. This is one of my favorite local places to eat and I always come here for lunch when I'm close by.
