Bidra med feedbackMy family of 9 adults and 2 children had reservations for Mother 's Day. Using Open Table for reservations left us not knowing there was a limited menu. (And I do mean limited!! A family member did see on Facebook a couple of days prior what the menu would be. At this point, we decided it would be too late to go elsewhere so we kept our reservations. We were greeted by 2 very friendly young ladies. Our table was ready when we arrived and we had a room to ourselves which was nice. The very unhappy waitress came to get drink orders and we asked a few questions about the menu. After getting our drinks, she returned to take our food order. During this time she managed to let us know that she had worked 13 hours the previous day and did not want to be there. Not what you want to hear from your server. Drink refills were very slow. Appetizers were just so so and the fact they were room temperature did not help the taste. When the entrees started coming out, they came in shifts. Some people had completely finished eating before others got their entrée. Now for the entrees......NO SIDE ITEMS????? Really????? The waffles looked and tasted as if they had been prepared the day before and reheated in the microwave. Some plates were accompanied by 2 scrawny pieces of chicken and some had 4 pieces. The small piece of cod was completely hidden by the so called mango salsa . The only entrée that was half way ok was the quiche which was more like a casserole. At this point, we were no way going to even try a dessert. We had high hopes that The Paddock would be close to Addie 's but were extremely disappointed. I heard the same review from a coworker regarding a family member of hers that was there also. Unfortunately, it was bad enough that I wouldn 't give it a second try nor would I recommend it to friends. On a positive not, we did have some great laughs at how ridiculous our experience was as well as getting some great pictures on the porch.
It was our first time eating there and the food was delicious! You must try the chicken and waffles!
This is a “best value” place to eat. The price fits the menu well. Not like some Lexington steakhouses 500% overpriced and not worth the money. The Paddock is s very refined place, great food and very comfortable. Highly recommend!!
Had a great time with friends tonight! Had a wonderful hot brown for dinner and a nice dessert. Service was great. We enjoyed the quiet, calm atmosphere...and running into other friends.
The Paddock needs lots of work to be at the same level as Addie’s was. We had a reservation that I had made about 5 days prior. We were seated in a back room that looked like it had been used for storage. Our appetizers were really bad. The spinach/artichoke dip was like in a clump as if it hadn’t been thoroughly melted. The cheese sticks were dripping in grease. We were brought the wrong entrees the waitress put other people’s food at our table that was similar to what we had ordered. She finally figured out that it wasn’t right and took up the food and put back on the tray. Those that ordered wine or a mixed drink didn’t get their drinks for a very long time. I had the Hot Brown which was $15.00. It was in a small bowl. The meat seemed to be very thin deli ham and turkey. The sauce had a grainy substance. I could only eat half due to the poor quality. My husband was given the wrong food twice. Another person ordered a salad and was given lettuce with croutons. So disappointed! We loved Addie’s and this is nothing like it.
