Bidra med feedbackI visited this restaurant with my family and was initially skeptical due to its small size. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the prices and quality of the food. The portions were also very generous. The staff were extremely friendly and patient with us while we took our time deciding. I will definitely be returning in the future!
The seafood at this restaurant is exceptionally fresh, with standout dishes like the yam roll and perfectly balanced flavors. The salmon and tuna were excellent, and surprisingly, the unagi was the best I have ever had. This hidden gem puts a lot of care into making their dishes flavorful and delicious. This was my second visit and I will definitely be returning again!
The Sushi Field used to serve excellent Japanese food, which was considered one of the best in Victoria. However, in recent times, the quality of their dishes has significantly declined. For instance, their prawn tempura is consistently greasy and the pieces are thin with very little prawn inside. The presentation could be improved by adding more batter to the prawns. While I rarely leave feedback, the poor quality of the food prompted me to write this review. It appears that the food was much better when the owner or chef was present at Sushi Field. I would recommend dining inside the restaurant for a better experience.
A Pleasant Surprise After my lunch experience at the Admiral Rd location I did not expect such a satisfying quality of sashimi in the chirashi don. The salmon had a great texture. Their portion of tuna was very generous, in part because I didn 't want tako. Tomago was very juicy and flavour was appropriate. The lemon was not needed. I associate lemon as a foreign way to mask 'fishiness. ' Their fish was not fishy so the lemons were for my water. I found it unconventional that there was salad mix between the rice and sashimi but it worked well with the tuna. Oh and the rice was right on point. So I encourage people to come and try out Sushi Field. Maybe get some take out and head to the beach. Sushi by the beach is a uniquely authentic experience.
Come here for lunch from time to time. Affordable and some of the best beef teriyaki I've had in town. Was sat down, ordered and had food in front of us in 15 minutes.
