We are happy to come here to eat or take. Always busy, but they're fast. Menu is varied and we certainly have our habits . We feel happy when we get a table coz, they're busy.

I wanted to write this review for so long! Discovery Bay Matsuyama has amazingly fresh cuts of fish. Definitely the best in the area! They are generous with portion sizes and the costs are very reasonable for such good fish. I just command to go, but it's always fast and they're always really grateful and kind. We always get the sashimi deluxe and one or two roles that are much for a party of two. I recommend this to every real sushi lover. They are busy on Fridays and Saturdays, so order accordingly!

I'm not a big fan of sushi, but I can't get enough of this place. I didn't have food from here that I didn't enjoy. The staff is friendly.

Best sushi place around. Sushi is 100% always at the point. Since the quarantine, I've been trying sushi from everywhere nearby and no comparison with this place, not even Shiirasoni. I can't wait until they open, I'll eat there for a week

First found Matsuyama in Stockton over 10 years ago. They were the best sushi in Stockton then and they are now, hands down, the best sushi in the Discovery Bay/Brentwood/Oakley area! We were VERY happy when they moved into the Sandy Cove center a year or so after we moved to Disco Bay. The staff are all extremely friendly, our 4 yr old daughter loves to see them when we go... Not to mention she loves their Smoked Salmon nigiri and Smoked Salmon Boston roll.
