Excellent seafood at reasonable prices! I like the Sopa Leão Veloso, which is a Brazilian version of the French Bouillabaisse. The restaurant Ambiente is so-so, but sitting on the terrace that is great on a sunny day. It can be quite crowded at weekend noon. Credit card accepted, but waiters speak little English.

Great fish restaurant in the heart of Copacabana! Appropriate price and staff are very helpful with suggestions and explanations when you are new to Brazilian culture. You do not feel that the atmosphere is touristic, you feel that you are in a local connection with local people throughout the area. Your pastures are to die! Papaya Dessert was also wonderful! I had an appetizer, main dish for two, drinks and desserts for 140 Brazilians, which is really much. I'll go back next time I'm in Rio and would highly recommend it.
