Magníficas Francesinhas, uns cachorros brutais!

Local cafeThis cafe is a good walk up the hill, well away from the river and the tourist strip it's full of locals. We had a lovely lunch including the famous Franceshina their version also includes bacon and mushroom. The staff were friendly, the prices were reasonable and the portions were generous well worth the hike!

The place looks like a chain eater with yellow back chairs and rrickety tables, but can be fooled. In two shops (one at 1) this place fills up quickly at about 9 a.m. even during weekdays. I was in the neighboring garden of Boeira... hotel and this place just a few hundred meters from the gates of the hotel. The Francesinha was excellent and worth 10 EUR for each cent. Service was efficient and hospitable. Very recommended place if you stay on Gaia side.
