Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is fancy, classy and wouldn’t recommend if you want a casual meal out. Also wouldn’t really say children were welcomed very much here unless they are “seen and not heard” as there was no children’s menu and staff weren’t very attentive to our children compared to other restaurants which have made the effort to speak to them aswell as the adults. The staff were good with us adults though and kept us well informed of waiting times and gave us some complementary snacks due to a bit of a wait (20 mins) not long! I must say our food was delicious and reasonably priced and a generous portion size. I would go back (without children) the platter of oysters on ice looked wonderful as did the desserts.
No complaints about the food. Two soups to start, a pasta dish for one of our children and a seafood platter for the adults. If you are attending with children, they have high chairs, so appear family friendly, but they are not. Our children are very well behaved, and we were made to feel very unwelcome. Communication issues from the start, mainly due to the language barrier, but our server could not have been more unfriendly (until it was bill time and he decided to try and turn on the charm! For a seafood speciality restaurant we were given no finger bowl, no implements for cracking our lobster or removing the meat. I had to request these things which finally arrived after trying to catch someone’s eye. €200 bill for decent food but no tip (we never do this as we felt so unwelcome. Avoid if you want decent service or a family meal with a smile. So many better places in the town. Service with a smile costs nothing!!
Comida at Dorado Restaurant in La Pineda, today. The service was perfect, 5 stars. From the entradas to postres, all the food was perfectly prepared, and it looked good on the plate even before I tasted any of it. I'm really happy to say that the kitchen is cooking with olive oil from my finca Cardinal West in Ginestar. They use a lot of aceite, and we only had a few liters to sell. However, I'm so pleased that they like our oil. Plus, the food and service was amazing. @lapinedaplatja @capsalou #CostaDorada #Dorado-LaPineda Try the oysters and the house wine (made especially for the restaurant). Many restaurants in the tourist areas of Spain close in October and do not reopen until February or March; however, Dorado is open on the weekends in winter so no matter what time of year you go, you can enjoy great seafood.
IG y YT @beatrizgatrotour
